
I realize it’s been a bit since I’ve shown any updates of my Tin Drum doll project. (To see some background and photos from October, click here.)
Lately, I’ve been working on some details for Anna Bronski, the grandmother in brown (below), and Agnes Matzerath, the mother in black. Part of Anna’s story involves hiding her soon-to-be husband beneath her many skirts (along with charred potatoes to warm her feet). I just bought fabric to start the skirts — exciting! Agnes, on the other hand, has died from eating too much eel…so I’ve got an eel poem springing from her stomach. Photos below of the project, in progress…
